Domestic Violence is a really terrible situation to be in. Long story short, “If you leave I will call the police.” So I left, police were called, I was pretty scratched up, I was down the street with my dog and my oldest son (keys to my car in my pocket). From prior experience working with DV Offenders I knew the chances of me being arrested were very high. I was asked by the police if she hit me, if I said yes she would have went to jail with me. We have kids, the kids would have been pushed into a situation that is even worse then jail. So I refuse to admit she hit me. I was arrested and charged with a number of felonies, strangulation with the intent to harm or kill, felony assault, and domestic violence (If you seen the pictures of her you imagine a picture of a hot chick crying, no scratches bruises, nothing. just some chick crying). If you seen my picture my hair was busted, I had scratches all over my body, I was tore up. The courts do not care about the truth, they want what they call justice. They want you to be on paper (no prior record), they want you to admit to a crime no matter what the circumstances. This is Template law system. I explained that over and over to my first attorney, and she continued to ask me over and over and over to accept a Felony plea that could be changed in the future. Come on man, if you aren’t listening now, why would the court change it later. Next they offered a misdemeanor disorderly conduct associated with domestic violence. Again, I did not commit domestic violence, however if you want to slap me with DC for leaving the house from a hostile situation then fine. I refused to take their final plea. Mr. Lorona was very good at explaining the situation, he was nervous about the possible consequences of going to court (because he believed me, and your putting your life in someone else’s hands when you go to trial) I was facing 5-7 years in PRISON as a first time offender. Mr. Lorona was preparing us for trial with REAL JUSTICE prevailed and they dropped the charges on me. Mr. Lorona literally saved my life, he believed in me, and he cost me some money, very reasonable compared to others, but in the end its money I wouldn’t of had in jail.
